Learn from tragic stampede incidents

Quick reaction: Emergency workers and passers-by helping people caught in the stampede in Seoul. How many Malaysians know enough CPR to help in an emergency? — AFP

WE witnessed two deadly stampede incidents in October. The first occurred in a football stadium in Indonesia and killed over 130 people on Oct 1. The second stampede happened on Sunday in South Korea during a Halloween celebration at a popular nightlife area in Seoul, taking more than 150 lives.

As we send our deepest condolences and prayers to those who have been hurt by these terrible events, it is important for us in Malaysia to learn from them and take precautions.
