Greed the reason for high prices

I REFER to two reports in The Star on Jan 2 – “Relief efforts fast-tracked” (online at https://bit.ly/3QiYRlP) and “Groups: Abandon ‘subsidy mentality” (https://bit.ly/3IoW5d3).

I am pleased to learn that nine million Malaysians will be receiving cash aid under the Bantuan Tunai Rakyat (BTR) this month, with RM300 going to each eligible household and RM100 to individuals. However, I feel that the money disbursed by the government is just a pittance, and the act is like giving out three pails of water to each household to tackle a raging fire burning their house down.
