Indiscriminate felling of trees must stop

KUALA Lumpur prides itself as a green and liveable city, yet we are not doing anything to preserve our trees, green lungs and public parks. We are instead killing our green spaces. As we build more hard infrastructure, especially highways and rail systems, we are decimating our mature trees and existing greenery. We should plan for trees to be planted alongside these concrete structures.

Even in established residential enclaves like Bangsar and Taman Desa, mature trees are being cut down and not replaced.
