Quota system reflects the country’s population

UNIVERSITY admission based on meritocracy has been championed repeatedly as a “fairer system”. But delve deeper and the fairness argument will start to lose its merit (pun intended).

In the world today, a fair university admission system is rare. Even the Ivy League university admission system in the United States is rigged, with the more affluent hiring consultants to tailor their children’s educational journey from young on the “correct” subjects to study and the most impactful extracurricular activities to participate in.
