User unfriendly: UMMC’s online portal is difficult to use

UNIVERSITI Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) is Malaysia’s leading teaching hospital. It has many excellent medical professionals that I can personally say are far more dedicated and conscientious than those in many private hospitals.

Granted, UMMC has been around so long and progressed in so many different ways, that tackling the entire hospital’s digital transformation is nothing short of a monumental task. But instead of approaching it in a systematic, organised way, this vital transformation seems to have been handled in bits and pieces without a vision or plan, and then left for dead.
