I REFER to the report “S’wak govt seeks more representation in Parliament, proposal paper submitted” (The Star, Nov 23) on the Sarawak state government’s proposal to increase the number of representatives in Parliament from Sarawak and Sabah to 35%.
This effectively means the number of Parliament seats for Sabah and Sarawak would be increased to about 78 seats. Sarawak currently has 31 and Sabah 25, or a combined total of 25% of the 222 seats in Parliament.
