I REFER to the Metro report “Feed pigeons and face RM250 fines, warns MBPJ” (The Star, Nov 30), in which Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) deputy mayor Aznan Hassan warned those who feed pigeons in the city to stop doing so or risk being penalised.
“We have been placing banners around the area and also making announcements online to educate the public,” he said, adding that pigeons or wild birds that nest in buildings can bring contagious diseases to humans.
