CALLING the Central Database Hub (Padu) launched last Tuesday a game changer when it comes to how aid is targeted and delivered is valid (“Ideas: Padu a ‘game changer’ for aid delivery”, The Star, Jan 4; online at bit.ly/ 48MpIyX).

Also very valid is the call for an immediate amendment to the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) to place responsibility and liability on the government and its agencies responsible for collecting and holding the data (“Amendment needed for data protection laws in line with Padu, says LFL”, The Star, Jan 4; online at bit.ly/41KQAwZ).
