Revisit the National REDD-plus Strategy


READING about the controversy surrounding the Nature Conservation Agreement (NCA) in Sabah, I was particularly attracted to the appeal from the state’s legal adviser Datuk Tengku Fuad Ahmad for “a more selective and cautious process”.

Fuad was reported to have said in his presentation at the Borneo Rainforest Law Convention on Feb 28 that the deal is bogged down by legal and technical flaws. He also denied any political ploy to derail the pet project of Sabah Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Jeffrey Kitingan.
