BUKIT Belah in Sungai Petani, Kedah, has made its way to the news before. A few cases of deaths and drownings have been reported, linked to the quarries there.

The place holds memories from my childhood: I recall riding on a motorcycle with my dad or driving with my family along its roads, shaded by nature’s canopy and surrounded by scenic views.
