WITH reference to the article "‘Datuk Seri’ probed over use of title" on the use of fake titles in The Star on Thursday (Aug 1), I would like to say kudos to the police and the Attorney General's Chambers for embarking on a more aggressive move to check and expose these fakes.
We have also noticed a trend of many "Datuk" upgrading their titles to "Datuk Seri" when they have no such award. We have been receiving almost daily complaints of people with influence using such fake Tan Sri, Datuk Seri and Datuk awards.
