Connecting flights deserve protection too

I WOULD like to express my appreciation for the government’s recent decision to mandate that airlines fully refund passengers for flights delayed by five hours or more. This is a significant step in ensuring accountability and integrity in the airline industry.

However, I am concerned that the Transport Minister has not adequately addressed the plight of passengers with connecting flights. On Aug 18, I experienced a three-hour delay on flight MH711 to Jakarta, which caused me to miss my connecting flight to Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan.
