RECENTLY, the Energy Transition and Water Transformation Ministry (Petra) released a statement saying that it would spearhead the Working Committee on New Pollutants through the National Water Research Institute of Malaysia (Nahrim).
On its part, the National Water Council during a meeting held on Sept 14 agreed on the need to establish a working committee to examine the threat of water pollution in the country, enhance river water monitoring and strengthen the management and research of pollutants.
