Rakan MOH warrants deeper scrutiny

I HAVE serious reservations about the Health Ministry’s plan to create the Rakan MOH programme as a means to raise revenue for the country’s underfunded public healthcare system.

While the need for creative health financing solutions is understandable, this proposal, which involves expanding the full-paying patient (FPP) scheme in government hospitals, warrants deeper scrutiny.
