RECENTLY, my daughter, who is in Form Five, informed me about a teacher in her school who admitted that she could not teach physics as she did not understand the subject herself.
I was alarmed and called the principal to find out how a teacher could be assigned to teach a subject she does not know enough about. The principal did not take my complaint seriously, and instead defended the teacher; she also insisted on knowing my daughter’s name. I refused to give it in case my daughter would be targeted for punishment.
