DURING Friday’s “Temu Anwar” event held Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia – also attended by the Defence and Higher Education Ministers in addition to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim – a compelling idea was proposed: Asean could catalyse collaboration among military universities and training institutions across the region.

By breaking down silos and fostering cross-disciplinary partnerships, Asean can unlock a wealth of potential for shared knowledge, technological advancement, and mutual capacity building.
