Glasgow needs financial help to host full list of sports

IT seems Malaysia could be deprived of as many as 16 potential medals due to the Common-wealth Games in Glasgow 2026 axing some sports to reduce costs.

Malaysia was offered a chance to host the Games earlier this year, but we declined due to financial concerns and time constraints. Glasgow then stepped up but has decided to limit the number of sports. This obviously has not gone down well, with some countries questioning how the city decided which sport to cut. Among the 13 sports cut are hockey, badminton, rugby, cricket, and aquatics.
