Tough job

Fire and Rescue Department personnel putting out a forest fire at Teluk Sabang in Asajaya, about 60km from Kuching. Firefighters have been battling peat and forest fires throughout Sarawak since the beginning of the month. On average the department responds to 26 such cases a day. Air pollutant index in Kuala Baram, Sarawak is reported to be in a hazardous level, while those in a very unhealthy level include Sibu and Sri Aman.
