It was a glorious day for Malaysia at the Philippines SEA Games as national shutters - (from left) Aaron Chia, Soh Wooi Yik (men's doubles), S. Kisona (women's singles) and Aaron Chia (men's singles) - smashed their way to three badminton gold medals for their best outing in 44 years. Malaysia last won three individual gold medals for badminton in the 1975 tournament in Bangkok via Sylvia Ng (women's singles), Sylvia-Rosalind Singha Ang (women's doubles and Rosalind-Song Chok Soon (mixed doubles).
