Crouching phoenix, hidden dragon

Hidden at an alley next to Lebuh Carnarvon here is a large mural depicting a dragon and a phoenix. The dragon and phoenix are two powerful symbols of success and prosperity in Chinese mythology. Covering 10m by 4m of a three-storey shophouse wall, the dragon and phoenix mural was completed by artist Lim Thean Seng, who usually goes by the name Zen Lim. CHAB BOON KAI / The Star
