KUANTAN: The Sultan of Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has urged the state government to take immediate and serious action to address coastal erosion to safeguard the well-being and interests of the people.
KOTA BARU: A total of 113 villages in four districts in Kelantan have been warned of possible floods following a forecast of continuous rain from Wednesday to Saturday (Dec 18 to 21) by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
KOTA BHARU: The Air Pollution Index (API) at the recycling collection site on Jalan Padang Tembak, Pengkalan Chepa Industrial Area, which caught fire yesterday, recorded a reading of 46, considered good, according to the Kelantan Environment Department.
BUKIT KAYU HITAM: The 18th Battalion of the General Operations Force (GOF) foiled an attempt to smuggle in 88kg of ganja worth RM4.4mil in an operation carried out at the Malaysia-Thailand border checkpoint at Jalan Stesen Kereta Api, Padang Besar, Perlis, on Saturday (Jan 22).

IPOH: The number of flood victims at the relief centre at Sekolah Agama Rakyat Padang Serai in Beruas in the Manjung district recorded an increase on Friday (Jan 10).
KUALA LUMPUR: The flood situation in Johor is gradually improving, with a decrease in the number of evacuees at temporary relief centres, while Perak reported no change and Pahang saw a slight increase in the number of people seeking shelter. In JOHOR, the number of evacuees has decreased to 1,860 as of 4pm, down from 2,498 earlier on Tuesday morning (Jan 14).

KUALA TERENGGANU: Three cases of heatstroke and two of heat exhaustion have been reported in Terengganu as of April this year.
SIBU: The people here have been strongly advised to stop open burning to prevent the hazy situation in the state from getting worse.
