KUCHING: Burly Muhd Irfan Shamsuddin competed in two field events – discus and shot putt – in one day and still walked away with a gold and a bronze.

That’s quite a feat for the 19-year-old, who also made it a memorable outing by rewriting the Sukma record in discus with a throw of 55.16m to erase his previous mark of 54.26m set in Kangar two years ago.
