Hammer thrower rewrites own national record for a 16th time

KUALA LUMPUR: Iron man Jackie Wong Siew Cheer rewrote his national record in the hammer throw event for the 16th time at the Malaysian Closed Athletics Championships Sunday (Aug 18).

The Sarawakian’s throw of 68.22m at the University Tenaga National field improved his old record of 67.31m which he set at the South Korean Open Championships last June.
