PETALING JAYA: Ng Jing Xuan (pic) had mixed feelings about throwing a javelin when she competed in the recent MAF Track and Field Cham-pionship.

The 18-year-old Jing Xuan was returning from an elbow injury sustained in her win in the Kuala Lumpur Open last July. She then took the risk of aggravating her injury by competing in the Malaysia Games (Sukma) last September and chalked up a personal best in the Open category with 43.45m in her first attempt to clinch the gold.
