Shot in the arm ‘putts’ Jonah at ease as an elite athlete


KUALA LUMPUR: National shot putter Jonah Chang Rigan is glad that it finally pays to be an elite athlete.

The 20-year-old national record holder said he was grateful to the Youth and Sports Ministry for unveiling a new salary package for the athletes, which includes the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and Social Security Organisation (Socso) contributions.
