PETALING JAYA: National runner Shereen Samson Vallabuoy has smashed the national record again in the 400m by 0.1s.

The 25-year-old Ipoh girl finished second at the Music City Track Carnival in Tennessee by clocking 51.79s on Saturday (June 1) evening.

She broke her previous record of 51.80s, which she posted at the Mt Sac Relays last year.

However, to qualify for the Paris Olympics on merit, she needs to clock 50.95s. She still has time until July 7.
