NATIONAL sprinter Mohd Azeem Fahmi once said Johor’s young Danish Ifthikar Mohd Rosli Ifthikar could one day become one of the top sprinters of the nation and give him a fight. They were prophetic words.

Danish who at 17 is three years younger, showed that he could indeed be Azeem’s challenger when he was crowned the “sprint king” of the Malaysia Games (Sukma), clocking 10.53s in the boys’ 100m final at the Sarawak Stadium yesterday.
