June Wei the favourite to replace Chong Wei at Asiad

PETALING JAYA: In an unexpected move, the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) have named national shuttler Cheam June Wei to replace Lee Chong Wei in the men’s singles at the Asian Games in Indonesia next month.

BAM president Datuk Seri Norza Zakaria said the 21-year-old who is the Dutch International champion is currently the preferred choice of national men’s singles head coach Datuk Misbun Sidek.
