PETALING JAYA: Chan Chong Ming will have a head start when he begins his duty as the women’s doubles head coach on July 1. The former international will only report for duty at the Academy Badminton Malaysia (ABM) in Bukit Kiara then but he has not been wasting any time – he has been viewing videos of his charges in action during tournaments.

Chong Ming has been tasked by the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) with raising the standard of women shuttlers, including two of his top pairs Lee Meng Yean-Chow Mei Kuan and Vivian Hoo-Yap Cheng Wen.
