M'sian doubles pair Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah crowned Swiss Open champions


PETALING JAYA: World No. 30 Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah capped off a superb week at the Swiss Open by being crowned the first-ever Malaysian women's doubles champions in the tournament's 66-year history on Sunday (March 7).

Pearly-Thinaah put up a scintillating performance to blow away the more illustrious Stoeva sisters - Gabriela and Stefani - the world No. 14, in a convincing 21-19,21-12 victory at the St Jakobshalle in Basel.
