PETALING JAYA: Lee Zii Jia's hopes of winning his second title of the year have been dashed after being forced to retire from the Hylo Open men's singles final due to a back injury against Singapore's Loh Kean Yew in Germany.
The world No. 8 conceded the match when he was trailing 12-17 in the rubber game to settle for a runner-up finish at the Saarlandhalle in Saarbrücken on Sunday (Nov 7).
