REIGNING world champion Loh Kean Yew of Singapore is shaping up well to win an elusive singles gold in the Vietnam SEA Games.

Kean Yew stole one point from Indonesia before Singapore slumped to a 1-4 defeat to defending champions Indonesia in the Group A opening tie in the Thomas Cup Finals yesterday.
