GOOD performance and luck have taken independent shuttlers Vivian Hoo-Lim Chiew Sien straight to the women’s doubles third round after the first day of action.

Yesterday, the world No. 35 held their game together to beat higher ranked Linda Efler-Isabel Lohau of Germany (world No. 26) in the women’s doubles first round by pulling off a splendid 21-17, 21-15 win in 45 minutes.
