Aaron-Wooi Yik to start as pair to beat in Denmark without Rexy

First hurdle: Aaron Chia (right) and Soh Wooi Yik will take on Germany’s Mark Lamsfuss-Marvin Seidel in the opening round of the Denmark Open.

PETALING JAYA: Men’s doubles pair Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik will enter a new chapter in their career as they will compete in their first tournament – the Denmark Open which begins in Odense today – as the world champions and without their mentor Rexy Mainaky.

Rexy, who guided the duo to win Malaysia’s first world crown in Tokyo in August, have skipped the European tournaments to allow his deputy Tan Bin Shen to take the lead.
