PETALING JAYA: Not much was expected from our mixed doubles pairs in the World Junior Championships in Santander, Spain.

But Bryan Jeremy Goonting-Lee Xin Jie delivered a pleasant surprise when they battled past Thailand’s Jintamuttha Witcha-ya-Srisawat Patida 21-13, 16-21, 21-16 in the third round yesterday.
