Badminton: Pearly-Thinaah stun world No. 5 South Korean pair, storm into Malaysian Masters final

KUALA LUMPUR: National women's doubles pair Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah smashed their way into the final of the Malaysian Masters on Saturday (May 27).

World No. 11 Pearly-Thinaah fought back from 2-12 down in the second game to stun South Korea's world No. 5 Jeong Na-eun-Kim Hye-jeong 21-19, 23-21 in 92 minutes at the Axiata Arena.

It was last October's French Open champions Pearly-Thinaah's first final of the year.

The homesters will take on another Korean pair, world No. 6 Baek Ha-na-Lee So-hee for the title tomorrow.
