PETALING JAYA: Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik are just one step away from ending their elusive wait for a World Tour title after reaching the final of the Indonesian Open on Saturday (June 17).

The national men's doubles pair fought hard to overcome homesters and Cambodia SEA Games gold medallists Pramudya Kusumawardana-Yeremia Rambitan 12-21, 23-21, 21-13 in a thrilling final four match at the Istora Senayan Stadium in Jakarta.

World No. 3 Aaron-Wooi Yik will take on India's world No. 6 Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty for the title on Sunday (June 18).

Aaron-Wooi Yik, who were crowned world champions nearly a year ago, have a good opportunity to win their first ever World Tour title as they have never lost to the Indian pair before this.

The former have beaten Satwiksairaj-Chirag eight times.

The Indians though are in good form and did well to beat South Korea's Malaysian Masters champions Kang Min-hyuk-Seo Seung-jae 17-21, 21-19, 21-18 in the other semi-final match.
