Roy King-Arif conquer Nantes International Challenge for first title as a pair

PETALING JAYA: Men’s doubles pair Yap Roy King-Wan Arif Wan Junaidi won their first title as a pair at the Nantes International Challenge in Reze, France on Sunday (June 18).

Roy King-Arif, the world No. 101, defeated Indonesians Putra Erwiansyah-Patra Harapan 21-16, 14-21, 21-12 in a 53-minute final.

They formed in March during a reshuffle of the Badminton Association of Malaysia’s (BAM) men’s doubles pairs.

Roy King-Arif had reached the semi-finals of the Denmark Masters last week.
