Aidil Sholeh Ali Sadikin ended his long wait for an individual title at the Indonesian International Challenge.

PETALING JAYA: Shuttler Aidil Sholeh Ali Sadikin has captured the men's singles title at the Indonesian International Challenge.

Aidil secured a dominant 21-14, 21-6 win over Japan's Keita Makino in the final in Surabaya on Sunday (Oct 22).

It was the 23-year-old's first individual title after coming close twice in the 2019 Hellas Open and last year's Malaysian International.

Aidil finished runner-up in both tournaments after losing to fellow Malaysians Lim Chong King and Justin Hoh, respectively.

Meanwhile, mixed doubles pair Choong Hon Jian-Go Pei Kee had to settle for second best after going down 20-22, 21-18, 14-21 to Japan's Hiroki Nishi-Akari Sato in the title match.
