End of road for Aaron-Wooi and Wei Chong-Kai Wun

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s campaign in the men’s doubles came to end when Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik and Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun crashed out in the second round of the China Masters in Shenzhen on Thursday (Nov 23).

World No. 2 Aaron-Wooi Yik battled for 75 minutes before losing to China’s He Jiting-Ren Xiangyu 25-27, 21-18, 17-21.

Wei Chong-Kai Wun took the first game but China pair Liu Yuchen-Ou Xuanyi bounced back strongly to secure a 17-21, 21-11, 21-13 win.

In the women’s singles, independent shuttler Goh Jin Wei bowed out after a 9-21, 16-21 defeat to Olympic champion Chen Yufei of China.
