Hon Jian-Haikal smashes into Syed Modi International final

PETALING JAYA: Men's doubles shuttlers Choong Hon Jian-Mohd Haikal Nazri stormed into the final of the Syed Modi International.

Hon Jian-Haikal, who were only combined in August, stunned England's world No. 23 Ben Lane-Sean Vendy 21-12, 21-19 in the last four in Lucknow on Saturday (Dec 2).

On Sunday (Dec 3), the national pair will take on Japan's world No. 16 Akira Koga-Taichi Saito for the title.
