PETALING JAYA: Mixed doubles shuttlers Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei's hopes of reaching the semi-finals of the World Tour Finals were dashed after they lost their last group match.

World No. 8 Tang Jie-Ee Wei, who were making their debuts in the prestigious season finale, went down 21-18, 18-21, 14-21 to Thailand's 2021 world champions Dechapol Puavaranukroh-Sapsiree Taerattanachai at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Gymnasium on Friday (Dec 15).

Malaysia's campaign in the tournament has come to an end after Tang Jie-Ee Wei's defeat.
