PETALING JAYA: Men’s singles shuttler Leong Jun Hao continues his relentless march in the Indonesian Open after taking down world No. 11 Chou Tien-chen of Taiwan in the second round on Thursday (June 6).

World No. 32 Jun Hao booked his spot in the quarter-finals in his first World Tour Super 1000 tournament after winning 21-18, 13-21, 21-17 in an hour and seven minutes match against Tien-chen at the Istora Senayan.

Jun Hao will take on world No. 4 Li Shifeng of China on Friday.

This is only the second time Jun Hao and Tien-chen have met, with the Taiwanese player winning the previous encounter at the Spain Masters in March.

The 24-year-old Jun Hao has been setting the trail ablaze after toppling world No. 3 Jonatan Christie of Indonesia in the opening round on Wednesday.
