Nurshuhaini wins Lithuanian International title


Women's singles shuttler Siti Nurshuhaini Azman captured her maiden title in the Lithuanian International.

PETALING JAYA: Women's singles shuttler Siti Nurshuhaini Azman's wait for a title ended when she captured the Lithuanian International.

Nurshuhaini kept her cool to edge India's Purva Barve 22-20, 23-21 in the final on Sunday (June 9).

It was joy for the 19-year-old, who had previously finished runners-up twice in the 2021 Czech Open and 2022 Dutch International.

It might only be a Future Series event but the victory in Lithuania is still a boost for world No. 223 Nurshuhaini after she struggled with form and fitness over the past year.
