James Chua leaves BAM to join Czech Republic as a coach.

PETALING JAYA: James Chua has left the Badminton Association Malaysia (BAM) to begin a coaching stint with the Czech Republic.

James joined BAM as the women’s singles coach in July, 2022 but less than a year later, he was moved to train the men’s singles players with Hendrawan and Datuk Tey Seu Bock.

There have hardly been encouraging results in either men or women singles departments.

The former Malaysian Open champion from Sarawak is the latest coach cum former player to head abroad to give their coaching career a shot.

In a social posting by Czech Badminton, they welcomed James as their new coach at their national training centre in Pilsen.
