PETALING JAYA: Mixed doubles shuttlers Hoo Pang Ron-Cheng Su Yin pulled off a sensational win over Hong Kong's top seeds and world No. 8 Tang Chun Man-Tse Ying Suet to storm into the semi-final of the Macau Open.

World No. 29 Pang Ron-Su Yin played brilliantly to come away with a 21-18, 21-18 win in just 39 minutes on Friday (Sept 27).

It was the pair's biggest win together since they were combined last November and they have now made it into the last four for the first time since reaching the same stage in the Orleans Masters in March.

Pang Ron-Su Yin have another tough task next against Indonesia's third seeds and world No. 11 Dejan Ferdinansyah-Gloria Emmanuelle and will need another big performance to reach their first-ever World Tour final.

The duo are the last Malaysians standing in the mixed doubles in the tournament after independent pair Wong Tien Ci-Lim Chiew Sien went down 16-21, 20-22 to China's Guo Xinwa-Chen Fanghui.
