PETALING JAYA: In a clash of former world champions, men's doubles shuttlers Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik came out on top over homesters Ko Sung-hyun-Shin Baek-cheol to march into the quarter-finals of the Korean Masters.

2022 world champions Aaron-Wooi Yik only needed 32 minutes to come away with a 21-18, 21-17 win over 2014 world title winners Sung-hyun-Baek-cheol in Iksan City on Thursday (Nov 7).

The former will play either Taiwan's Lu Chen-Po Li-wei or another home duo Kim Jae-hyeon-Lee Sang-won in the last eight on Friday (Nov 8).

Malaysia's challenge in the men's singles, though, came to an end after Jacky Kok went down 20-22, 14-21 to Japan's Takuma Obayashi.
