KUALA LUMPUR: Men’s doubles shuttlers Ong Yew Sin-Teo Ee Yi continued their fine run in the Malaysian Open by smashing into the quarter-finals.

Yew Sin-Ee Yi fought hard to beat South Korea’s 2023 world champion Kang Min-hyuk and his new partner Jin Yong 23-21, 16-21, 21-18 at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil on Thursday (Jan 9).

A day earlier, the world No. 24 independent pair had pulled off a big upset over Indonesia’s world No. 4 Fajar Alfian-Rian Ardianto.
