PETALING JAYA: Men's doubles shuttlers Yap Roy King-Wan Arif Wan Junadi's good run in the Orleans Masters ended in the semi-finals after they went down to China's world No. 3 Liang Weikeng-Wang Chang.

World No. 18 Roy King-Arif found it tough against the Chinese duo and lost tamely 14-21, 13-21 in just 26 minutes at the Palais des Sports in France on Saturday (March  8).

Despite the defeat, it was still an encouraging outing for the pair after making it into their first semi-finals since the Malaysian Masters last May.

Meanwhile, Weikeng-Wang Chang will take on South Korea's newly formed pair Kang Min-hyuk-Ki Dong-ju for the title on Sunday (March 9) after the latter stunned high flying teammates Seo Seung-jae-Kim Won-ho 21-8, 9-21, 21-19.

Min-hyuk-Dong-ju, who were competing together for the first time, prevented their compatriots from reaching their fourth consecutive final this year after they captured the Malaysian Open and German Open and finished runners-up in the Indian Open.
