Yu-lun can’t hear but gets the loudest cheers at the alley

Pride of the family: Tsai Yu-lun (middle) posing with his parents after his silver medal feat.

PETALING JAYA: Youngster Tsai Yu-lun of Taiwan was born into a silent world, but he did not let his hearing impairment dampen his fiery passion for bowling.

While others can easily hear the cheers and sound of a ball rolling down the pins in the alley, the 11-year-old Yu-lun relies on a hearing aid and cochlear implant to experience the auditory world.
